Gummy bears made in..... China?

One of my co-workers bought a bag full of small bags of junk food for his kid's fundraiser. One of the bags was some brand of gummy bears. On the front of the bag, it mentioned they had vitamin C. Sweet.... sorta healthy. So after I polished off the bag, I decided to check out the back and the nutrition panel. At the bottom, 'Made in China'. REALLY??? I don't recall what brand they were, but it's somehow cheaper to make gummy bears in China and ship them across the ocean? At least the Cheetos were made in Plano, Texas.
