It should seem like a bad idea when...

So I'm leaving my favorite coffee shop and there are a couple guys in the small parking lot with an R/C helicopter. It appears to be the first time the one guy has ever tried to fly a R/C helicopter. Note, this is a small parking lot full of cars, surrounded by buildings on three sides, with the main street on the fourth side. So, said newbie tries to get the helicopter to take off. He takes off too fast so he tries to reduce the power at which point the helicopter almost hits a few cars. So, new pilot guy applies too much power in trying to not hit the cars. The helicopter launches towards the street with cars driving by. Fortunately, there are a couple really big palm trees in the way and the helicopter smashes into one at about 30mph or so and falls onto the sidewalk in a few pieces. The whole flight only lasted about five seconds.
