So... a friend of mine had an interesting tidbit... drinking cold water helps burn calories. Is it true? I don't know, but it makes sense; body has to generate more heat (i.e. burn calories) to offset the cold water.
What I do know is true (based on some study) is that 'fidgeting' burns calories. So all those people twitching in their seats are burning more calories than people like me who fall asleep.
