Squeaky Door Hinge Fix
I needed to fix some door hinges in my place that squeaked. I have a number of different car, motorcycle, and bicycle lubricants. I figured this bicycle chain lube would be a good fix as it's designed to not fling off. Yup, works like a champ!

Google showing store traffichistogram
Google now provides typical traffic in restaurants and other places like gyms (where they have enough data) in a histogram. I just wonder where they get the data from.... people leaving on their GPS?

Charity Ratings
I got a piece of mail from a charity asking for donations. Having never heard of them before, I decided to do some research on them. In doing the research, I came across the website: http://www.charitynavigator.org/ So, if you need to look up the performance of a charity and how they spend their money, check out Charity Navigator.

Places to Stand for Free Speech
I was walking around downtown LA and came across this sign. I thought it interesting they set up a zone for people to speak their minds.

Sagging Garage Door Temporary Fix
My garage door is 16' wide steel sectional for a two car garage. Well, these things wear out and they start to sag in the middle which causes issues with opening and closing.
It also causes the sheet metal to tear.
First I added two pieces of 8' long, 3/4" wide, 1/8" thick, 90 degree angle pieces of aluminum that I bolted together. That helped.

That wasn't quite enough, so I added a section of 8', 1.5" wide, 1/8" thick, 90 degree aluminum.
Even better now. But this is just a temporary fix to hold the door over for a week until I get a new and better one.
