Squeaky Door Hinge Fix
I needed to fix some door hinges in my place that squeaked. I have a number of different car, motorcycle, and bicycle lubricants. I figured this bicycle chain lube would be a good fix as it's designed to not fling off. Yup, works like a champ!

Google showing store traffichistogram
Google now provides typical traffic in restaurants and other places like gyms (where they have enough data) in a histogram. I just wonder where they get the data from.... people leaving on their GPS?

Charity Ratings
I got a piece of mail from a charity asking for donations. Having never heard of them before, I decided to do some research on them. In doing the research, I came across the website: http://www.charitynavigator.org/ So, if you need to look up the performance of a charity and how they spend their money, check out Charity Navigator.

Places to Stand for Free Speech
I was walking around downtown LA and came across this sign. I thought it interesting they set up a zone for people to speak their minds.

Sagging Garage Door Temporary Fix
My garage door is 16' wide steel sectional for a two car garage. Well, these things wear out and they start to sag in the middle which causes issues with opening and closing.
It also causes the sheet metal to tear.
First I added two pieces of 8' long, 3/4" wide, 1/8" thick, 90 degree angle pieces of aluminum that I bolted together. That helped.
That wasn't quite enough, so I added a section of 8', 1.5" wide, 1/8" thick, 90 degree aluminum.
Even better now. But this is just a temporary fix to hold the door over for a week until I get a new and better one.

Shorty Red Solo Cups
Everyone knows the regular size red solo cup. I guess the shorty cups are for when moderation is required.

Green Tea Pocky, Not as Popular as the Original
So I got some green tea flavored Pocky sticks for free. Whenever I have excess 'junk food', I take it to the office where junk for typically disappears quickly. However, these green tea Pockys were not popular with the co-workers. It took a couple days for this box to disappear whereas those cookies from the previous post disappeared in hours.

Sports = web traffic drops in March
I was browsing the site traffic for a website I contribute to and noticed a drastic drop in the March/April time frame. Searching other sites saw the same drop. I figure the combinations of March Madness along with NBA and NHL playoffs are the contributors to the drop in traffic on non-sports related sites. BTW, the below are a random sampling of automotive traffic sites.

50 mile bicycle ride intake
So this is basically what I consume during a 50 mile bicycle ride. A big bottle of Gatorade, a couple KIND bars, a coupe Clif Mocha shots, and a couple Saltstick tablets. And water of course.

Sometimes (i.e. rush hour around LA), it's just faster on the bicycle.

Doctors Without Borders - Fund Usage
Doctors Without Borders is one of my favorite organizations. They perform so much great work across the world and the vast of the money donated to them goes towards actual work.

Everything is getting upgraded with LED lights. Cars, drills, and irons. This was at the Wynn in Vegas. Fancy!
