Friday is a good day...

to go to Sams after work. On the weekend, the place is always slammed. Most weekdays after work, there are still long lines. But I went Friday after work, and minimal lines!

Why's it getting colder?

So it hit ~95 degrees last weekend here in the LA area. And this weekend? Highs in the mid-60s. I thought we were getting closer to summer...

I see you

Technology is amazing.... My parents were flying into town so I checked their flight status. You get a cool map that shows the intended flight path, the actual flight path, and estimated time of arrival. All of it pretty much up to date. You can see how my parents' flight diverted around some thunderstorms. Cool eh?

Outnumbered

So I went to auto-cross the Evo (race around a course of cones for fastest time). For some reason, Subaru WRX/STIs are very popular for auto-x whereas if you go to a track day, you'll see the inverse; Evos out number STIs.

FYI, Evos vs STIs is the modern day ponycar battle (ala Mustang/Camaro). Anyways, I was at the auto-x with two other Evos and we were outnumbered by about 3:1.

M*A*S*H

So I was hiking up in Malibu Creek State Park and this is apparently one of the sites used to film the show M*A*S*H. Bunch of random shows and films done around here.
