Griffith Park hike

I went up to Griffith Park over the weekend. A bit crowded but still fun. Just had to stick to the main trail due to the possibility of rattle snacks. Got a bit freaked out by a swarm of bees too.

There's an interesting spot called Dante's View. It's a little garden on the side of a hill.

3 driving no-no's in one day

No.... Not me. But I was witness to three incidents in one day.

1. Going much faster than other traffic in site of a cop. So I was cruising down a big hill in the left lane and a Prius goes by me at roughly 10mph faster, in the right lane no less. The girl in the Prius happened to do this in plain site of a cop coming up the hill from the opposite direction. Sure enough, the cop flips a U-turn and tags the Prius.

2. Rear ending a Ferrari F430. A girl in a mid-90s BMW wasn't paying enough attention I guess. This is where that $250,000 liability comes in handy.

3. Performing an illegal U-turn in front of a cop. So this car does an illegal U-turn at an intersection in heavy traffic, creating a bit of havoc and disrupting the flow from two directions; hence, why it's illegal there. Too bad the driver didn't notice the cop two cars behind them.

Yup, still snowing in the mountains north of LA.


Sunny at the beach though! Really windy though... no one playing volleyball and lots of whitecaps out in the ocean. Some narly looking waves too!

Chinese in cartoons?

So my niece was over at my place watching the TV channel, Noggin. I hear some chinese and I'm like... huh? So there's a show called, "Ni Hao, Ki-lan". It's sorta like the a version of Dora, but with a Chinese girl.

How leaky roofs are fixed in SoCal

Well, in lots of cases such as my office, leaks don't get fixed. It doesn't rain enough to justify the cost. I was eating in a restaurant that had a garage can in the middle of it!

Economic downturn = crowded gym?

So it's March, and my gym is STILL PACKED. It doesn't get even remotely less crowded until 9pm now. It's even crowded on Friday after work! Generally, by this time of year, all the New Years resolution people are gone.

So my theory? No one has money to spend on happy hour.
