Back that boot up

I went over to Singapore for the holidays and also made a quick run into Tokyo on a layover. I noticed a trend, all the cars are backed into spots. And since I was in Singapore, the trunk is called the boot, I think.... assuming they use UK slang. Which I think they do because an elevator is a 'lift', and Singapore took it's modern form after a Brit guy named Raffles went into town in the 1800s.

So yeah, when parking is tight due to limited space, it's easier to back a car into a spot. Otherwise, you'd have to 3-point turn or more to get into a sport trying to go forward.
